Effective 24 July 2026
1. Introduction
Wamambo Consultancy (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our clients and website visitors in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website or engage our services.

4. Protection of Information
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All traffic to this website is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and we apply hardened HTTP security headers including Content-Security-Policy and HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS).
5. Sharing & Sub-Processors
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be shared only where required by law, with your consent, or with trusted third-party processors who help us deliver the website and our services. These currently include:
- Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, and edge security for this website.
- Cal.com — the scheduling/booking platform that powers our discovery-call booking.
- WhatsApp / Meta — optional messaging channel used only when you initiate contact with us via the chat button.
Each processor acts on our instructions and is bound by contractual and legal confidentiality obligations. We review these relationships periodically.
6. Cross-Border Transfers
Some processors (including Cal.com and WhatsApp/Meta) are hosted outside the Republic of South Africa, principally in the United States. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under POPIA — including the processor’s published contractual commitments and, where applicable, adequacy or certification mechanisms — and we transfer only the information necessary to provide the relevant service.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy or as required by South African law:
- Enquiry and booking data: up to 24 months after last contact, unless an engagement follows.
- Client engagement records: for the duration of the engagement plus the statutory retention period (generally 5 years for tax- and CIPC-related records).
- Website technical logs: up to 12 months.
When information is no longer required, we securely delete or de-identify it.
